The Brief

A storefront that feels like the brand

Rä Sugar Co had built something real: a sugaring line born inside a working studio, refined by sugarists, and trusted across Canada. Their site needed to carry that same weight. Visually distinct, easy for the team to manage, and built to sell. The catch was making it all run on Shopify's ecommerce engine without inheriting Shopify's design ceiling.

The Work

Two platforms, one seamless site

Most beauty e-commerce sites look the same because most beauty e-commerce sites are built the same way. Rä needed the opposite: a front-end with personality, motion, and a clear point of view, paired with a backend their team could actually use day to day.

A front-end built around the brand, not the template

We built the site in Webflow to give Rä full creative control over layout, typography, and motion. Custom video backgrounds, mesh gradients, and the brand's playful visual language live natively in the site rather than being bolted on as afterthoughts. Every page was designed around the product experience — what it feels like to discover the line, understand the smooth skin cycle, and decide what to buy.

Shopify, doing what Shopify does best

For commerce, we connected Webflow to Shopify so inventory, orders, checkout, and fulfillment stay inside the tooling Rä's team already knows. Custom code and third-party integrations handle the bridge between the two platforms, so product data, pricing, and stock stay in sync without manual upkeep.

A site the internal team can actually run

The result is a setup that behaves like a brand experience on the front end and a real e-commerce operation on the back end. Rä's team can update content, swap products, and manage orders without touching a developer.
